Strongly recommend you start with mm .. mc needs a good stepup and good phono.. you have money but you would probably still need 3 to 10 years before you get mc rigbt..
good mm includes grado. Grace. Ortofon, music maker. Stanton.
By the way..don't believe the people who think that high compliant mm only sounds good on light arms. That was not my experience after trying out many arm/cartridge combos
