I have a Dual CS506 turntable. If I was to move my own TT in my car I would remove the tonearm counterweight, put three matchbooks (wedge shape) under the edge of the platter so that the spindle bearing won*t hammer rolling over bumps, remove the TT cover and put the TT in the cargo area of my station wagon or on the floor of the passenger seat.
Use whatever applies to your turntable and your car.
