The old gent seated at the head of the table, wearing his winter headgear is a paternal figure. He's listening to what the children to his left are saying.
Thelady with the exposed nipple also addresses him. Maybe she is taking up the same cause as the children appear to plead.
Perhaps she is unaware of her malfunctioning attire, perhaps she his. No one in the image seems to be taking note of the exposed breast. Perhaps in that day and age it was not uncommon to see women exposing their torso.
In any case she seems intent on either pleading or persuading the old man about some issue. The children to the side are of some import. Perhaps they are of the old man's family.
Everyone else is subservient. Including the small ensemble of musicians. This must be a wealthy family that can afford to supply live music at a dinner.
also, it is a Telefunken record. I suppose the recording and performance are excellent. Although I've never heard this. The composer, Telemann....he's Baroque. Contemporary with J.S. Bach. iirc. The old man's attire seems somewhat dated in comparison to the dress worn by the seated lady. He's more from the prior period...rennaissance, perhaps.
The musicians are attired like it was the period of Henry the VIII or perhaps during his daughter Elizabeth's rein. But I suspect this isn't England. On the European continent. German, perhaps.
And the one old fellow on the far left is attired like a Greek scholar. Perhaps a hired tutor.
