spinning some Hayden

Actually, this is my only Haydn.

Another one from the used record bins.
KHB 20339
BASF/Harmonia Mundi

Quartett Collegium aureum

Circa 1973
Haydn string quartets 65 & 69
Production values on jacket imagery appear to be working toward a budget.
sound is quite good.
I'll have to play it through a couple of times to estimate musicianship. but early on it seems quite good.

Hmmm. The big conglomerate from the seventies buys a record label and goes on making and selling records. I know that BASF was involved in the production of materials used in the production of actual products. Mining, for example. But we saw them get into audio. they supplied magnetic recording tape. They had a line of record players/changers. cheap ones. They purchased the ADC cartridge line from Peter Pritchard.

anyway, there is nothing to complain about with this recording.

And so this record turns and puts music in my room.

Ps: what's spinning over there?
