My guess the Traveler is discontinued

Is because it sounds better than the Scout. I may be wrong as why it was discontinued. See YouTube video below. Also the Scout is upgradable. VPI wants to keep getting your money for upgrades; a good business plan. :-) And lastly, the CNET review of Pioneer plx-1000 turntable said it was much better than the Traveler for much less money.
