I have tried 3 different stylus mods . To my ears all are much better than the stock 103
with its horrible conical stylus. Sorry this is my opinion and most people who hqve moved to lc agree with me . More music and less noise... i think the $250 lc retip is the way to go with 103. The costlier mods are more refined but not necessarily better. If you like the stock 103 i think you will be in for a pleasant surprise. Van del hul wrote a good article on stylus in the groove. You should read it. He will explain it better than me. Meanwhile hearing is believing g.
