Here is a picture of my modified Empire. I used a rubberized plastic to dampen the platter and plinth that resulted in tighter deeper bass, better sound stage and imaging, then I used a Jelco 750L 12" tonearm. It is a great sounding tt the sky is the limit for tone arms get the best you can afford. I posted a link below for the recipe I used to dampen the Empire except I did not use the brass powder.
