Turning on the TT which is not hooked to an amp

May I check whether an LP record (whether it remains warped or becomes flat) after theatment in Vinyl Flattener if the turntable is not hooked to an amp? I want to listen to CDs and a different amp which does not have a phono input. Changing different gear is tiresome...
