RE: Not a Dremel.....

As noted above, the Ortofon headshells have longer slots so you can reach the Baerwald alignment point. A lot of the Japanese, (now Chinese) headshells tend to only allow enough length to reach Stevenson alignment. The Longer slots in the Jelco and Sumiko Headshells are a good option. Here is a link to a private label headshell for about $60.00 that is a copy or actually made as the Jelco HS25.

Scroll down this page until you come to the "Adjustable Azimuth" headshell for $55.00, which appears identical to the Jelco HS25 that sells for more.

The other option is to search the auction sites for one of the skeletal headshells that were mage by Adcom and the Audio Technica AT-D7.
To me, unless you are cash strapped, filing headshell slots is a bit Rube Goldberg, unless no headshell you can find is long enough.

The holy grail for you would be to locate a Pioneer PP-312 headshell, but there are pricey when they do occasionally come up for sale.
