It probably does help depending on the arm-cart combo and personal taste. IIRC, the 750-series arm tubes are quite different from the 370 (I may be wrong) and more sensitive to the damping oil.

The damping fluid made more than a subtle difference with a 750D and Clavis da Capo combo which is thin and a bit bright after a reasonable break-in period.
