Man... that's WAY up there...

A Japanese friend tells a great story about a well known American record auctioneer who took
his incredible success and teamed with a Japanese dealer to open a small, NICE shop in Tokyo many
moons ago. They had all the shite, including that Mobley on a wall display.
Asking 3 grand for it on opening day, they do the "sell" on it to a client.

Deal done, guy leaves with his nice 1568, happy as a clam.

They wait a bit, reach under the counter and replace it with another copy.

Apparently they were able to do that a few times. This was about 25-30 years ago.
