RE: Spinning: Mahler #2/Abbado CSO DGG

This is late analog. I keep thinking it came out in 1977, but I might be wrong. Deutsche Grammophon made a big deal when they started issuing LPs from digital masters, with fairly prominent markings on the jackets, boxes, and record labels themselves. This has no such markings anywhere.

I have a copy of the original DG German issue. The dynamic range is huge, wider than a whole lot of recordings from that time. It helps if all the household appliances (like the fridge and the heat or A/C) are off when I pull this one out, or the quiet passages get lost in ambient noise.
