I have the exact same album, listening to it now as your post reminded me of it, and mine sounds clean. I'm listening at a rather high volume (some may say insanely high) and the subtle passages have an occasional tic but certainly not the constant noise that static brings. At high volumes (which is the way I prefer Mahler) the horns and other dynamics are outstanding.
As for any digital provenance, the whole thing is written in Japanese except the track listing (German) and a few copywriter notices and minor ownership details (all in English). The gatefold has four pages of Japanese text, perhaps I can find a local friend to translate.
