Stupid question of the day?: Does one need a stylus cut for mono or a cart wired for mono to get the benefit of current production mono lps?
I have a mono switch I use for playing mono rock pop lps from the late 60s, or some of my older operas, and they are enjoyable.
PS. I'm still amazed at how good the Beatle records I have from when I was a kid sound, even though they weren't played on perfect tables the whole time, especially during my teen years. Really makes me wonder about the table/stylus set ups people were using that trashed the sound on some of the used records I have bought over the years.
