I picked up a PL-300 some time ago at a thrift shop for $20. The auto return was malfunctioning. I lost patience in trying to repair it so I just stripped out all the auto linkage and wired in a simple on-off switch. Nice turntable. I have it in a small downstairs system where I clean records. It's real handy for previewing records or just listening as I work. Rock steady quartz-locked speed and I don't mind that's it's full manual now.
