If you go into frequency calibration mode (hold the plus button while exiting standby) you will be able to dial in the speed in smaller steps (.01 RPM vs .1 RPM). This changes the base frequency at 33.3 so the display remains correct and the adjustment is finer (reset the display at 33.3 before entering cal mode).
