For me, I have read through it once, and that will be it. Perhaps your suggestion to use it as a record flattener is appropriate now.
I would rather read about equipment and storage improvements and music suggestions than read about people's collections. Of course, it is interesting to see large, well organized collections like those of cactus, etc.
The limited interviews at the back of the book were mostly interesting, especially that of 78rpm collector Joe Bussard. He is funny but plenty opinionated.
