Stylus cleaners, Soundsmith Cart, & Patience

Hi all

I use all manner of dry stylus cleaning methods (Zerodust, Blu Tack, Magic Eraser) and struggle to keep the stylus of my SoundSmith Aida clean. It always seems to have something stuck to it. I have resorted (see comment below) to using a liquid cleaner (the Clearaudio product) occasionally, probably once every 10 records, and this seems to work very well for a few records. However, I have read Mr Ledermann's comments on stylus damage that can be caused by liquid cleaners.

I regularly clean my records but certainly not every play.

The SS Aida has a broad stylus tip that is not tolerant of debris. Result is noticable surface noise if the stylus is not super clean. When everything is clean it's brilliant. I have done hours and hours of setup and alignment, I don't think it's that.

My question is has anyone used liquid cleaners on SS Carts and had the stylus fall off? I just ordered Stylast and Last and are going to try those.
