I have 475 boxes of LP's currently in storage. Each box measures 12.5 by 12.5 by 16 inches. That's about 40K of records. I have friends with just as many, BTW. one with about 45K another with closer to 55K.
Yeah every collection has some junk, but it's the unknown treasures which make collecting so interesting. I remember picking many LP's that I thought should be on HP's super disc list and sure enough as time went by they would pop up. I would pick up discs based simply on the producer and mastering engineer and would rarely be disappointed with the sound quality although I may not have particularly like the music or the artist.
Still, the used LP store I bought many of my discs from has more than once offered to pay the price I originally paid for them from his store....
