In one case you are talking about a legacy inventory ... the other, newly pressed vinyl.

$1 to $3 used ... not what I'm seeing unless you are talking about Mantovani & Barry Manilow vinyl or VG or G+ stock of common records, that they used to sell for 10 to 25 cents. It costs me between $5 to $15(VG++ to NM-) for used/NOS vinyl to fill in the gaps in my collection currently.

Newly pressed vinyl is another category ... a niche product for a unique small market segment.
