RE: Fairchild

Interesting choice. Both are belt drivers.

The Braun may very well be excellent, but its somewhat lighter build suggests a consumer unit.

I choose the Fairchild because it built its rep as a studio/broadcast turntable. Plus, it has a rep for being one very slammy and dynamic sounding motor unit. Massive platter. Hi torque motor to pull it. Simple design. Should be easy to put into a custom plinth. then when re-plinthed, use arm of choice.

I think this is one of those 'killer' turntables that somehow managed to slip beneath the radar for many years. Definitely worth searching out.
