I have this - friend - (who incidentally is extremely intelligent, and good-looking as well) who, through no fault of his own, had one of the cartridge clips (that'd be the blue 'un) on his Rega RB808 tonearm (on his RP8 table) BREAK! As in the damn thing broke right in half. Ouch!
He is, as I said, very smart and skilled, yet lacks that tiny last bit of confidence in his precision, temperate-controlled soldering skills.
Given that a repair is necessary, he's wondering if he should go whole-hog and rewire the thing. Is it worth it on the 808? Either for performance or to prevent more of these %#!^&$!^ weak-ass clips from breaking in the future. What wiring kit?
He says thanks in advance.
