RE: Antiskating at 4gm tracking?

The purpose of antiskating is offer a reaction to these issues:

Because or the offset of the pivoting tonearm and the pivoting tone are the is a force that tries to push the tip of the stylus outward relative to the cartridge's null position. This twist will be higher on high compliance cartidges and could amount to similar errors and the tracking geometry errors themselves - and can be compensated in the alignment and mounting of the Cartridge. If misaligned the there could be a channel imbalance and/or a channels distortion difference. Since the horizontal compliance can be different than vertical compliance (specified for the cartidge) and the The variations below - a little adjustment by experimentation and test records is appropriate

The Tracking Force on the inside grove is also higher and the opposite side reduced by the sine of the offset x (adjusted for the twist above) the sine of 45 degrees (.7)Slope of the Grove. The measured coefficients of friction of a stylus tracking phono record is about .25 to .4 the down force multiplied by the .7 x .35 yields a range of antiskating ratios of 0.06 to 0.1 the tracking weight of the tone arm. The effect of this issue is purely one of tracking ability difference for the record.

In the linked article they note the variation of the coefficient of friction from record to record and whether the there solvents have been removed by cleaning.

I've dabbled with my Grace 704 Unipivot without Antiskating and several cartidges (30 years ago, btw) and issue one seems to be a bigger issue than two with a measurable channel balance error on my high compiance cartidge that did not show up on the low compliance Denon 103. (Yes I had a linear tracking arm to compare results with same cartridges & turntable.
