Alas the DJ's have mostly left vinyl. They kept the pressing plants open in the 90s and they kept the Technics SL1200/1210 in production. Indeed DD TT have become expensive, as many if not most good vintage TT.
5 years ago i would advice people to buy vintage 70s TT. Nowadays i would opt for a used Project with a good cart on it with a fresh needle.
