Well here in Montreal we have a nice vinyl shop with many used Japanese pressings. I hesitate spending the $40+on them topped off by our 15% VAT. Although what you get are usually incredibly meticulous Japanese pressings kept that way for many years by what are probably obsessive owners.
I usually leave with used CDs for $2.99 to $7.99 and am happy.
Latest piece of new vinyl bought at that shop at a reasonable price last week is Sonny Stitt's "Tune Up" on Cobblestone records for $11.99. Great music, terrible pressing. Have dreams of one day seeing this gem on SACD.
