The Stylast stylus life extender does a great job and Before every side I clean the stylus with the brush then add the Stylast.
Been doing this for years and years..
I also take a small bit of 'extended life' packing tape and place it so I can tap the bristle face of the brush to it to remove the dirt from the brush each time. The tape pulls off the dirt from the Stylast brush nicely. (I roll the tape into a fat tube, then stick it to the TT base. When I change it, it peels right off. ((this is why use the extended life tape, it peels better)). )
