I rarely buy a reissue unless it's pretty much the only option. By that I mean either originals are rare and very expensive or originals are always trashed. For example, I bought a Nick Drake Five Leaves Left reissue as original copies are very rare and expensive. I got a Japanese reissue from Universal which sounded quite good to me. Another example is the recent Genesis reissues. I've never been able to find quiet copies (and I've bought a bunch) so I tried the reissues and they were dead quiet.

Bottom line, if I have a quiet, good sounding original, I won't buy a reissue.
