RE: Not listening to LP's

Health issues override EVERYTHING in your life.

I'm a little younger,(52)but can relate to health issues affecting your interests/hobbies.
I suffered a stroke 4 years ago and was fortunate/lucky to come out relatively unscathed-no lasting physical/mental deficits. Being in the ICU with brain swelling for a week wasn't fun.To make matters worse, was coping with a bedridden mother with dementia who passed a year later after my stroke. The recovery along with getting THE BILLS was just as painful emotionally and financially! Even though ya think you have decent insurance, don't forget after the deductible is met, the damn out-of -pocket max has to be met and next thing you know, 15-20k just vanished from your bank account!
I mention all this, because It had an opposite effect on me.
Stroke recovery left me at home with my CD collection and purchased new in 86 Technics rack system. The only saving grace with the system was I purchased these ridiculously huge floorstanders that made it sound OK.

The stroke reminded me that life can take an unexpected turn for the worse and if I didn't loosen up a bit with my pragmatic lifestyle, I will just continue to lurk in the Asylum as I have been since its inception without having a half decent rig. I went out and got a table and tube gear!
I hope both of you are able to manage your health situation. It can really
screw up your thinking until it gets resolved.
Health is EVERYTHING.
