I purchased one of these arms in pieces and it came without any tonearm wiring - so the normal route of using the existing wiring to pull the new wires through the tonearm is not an option.
I researched this site and internet quite a bit and have not stumbled across any specific steps or tips on how to take this arm apart to the degree needed to do a full rewire and refurb.
Based on the arm construction I think the only way for me to rewire this arm is to remove the black horizontal bearing housing the armtube passes through. It has a hole in the bottom to allow the tonearm wires to pass through the tonearm pillar and to the DIN plug.
Specifically, has anyone attempted unscrewing the two span (two dot) screw heads that hold in the horizontal bearings? I assume I just need the correct size spanner screwdriver and a little elbow grease. But I do not want to break the arm by doing something stupid - which is not unusual for me :)
Appreciate any tips or advice anyone can give!
Thanks
Troy
