Took a bit of elbow grease to get going, mostly cleaning, adjustments, and importantly trying to restore the idler wheel which initially had a hard as glass edge ... the guys at at the Vintage Asylum provided great info for restoring the wheel but frankly it should be replaced, well if I was aiming for "perfection". LOL
The biggest problem was a horrendous hum, so I replaced the RCA leads but it persisted. Investigating with a multimeter I discovered that one of the wires from the arm ... left channel "earthy", that straight from the Garrard manual :) ... was in electrical contacting the chassis/motor. That discovered I was in business.
