As wrong as it seems, I've been buying records from my neighborhood store for years and the owner(an old school chap)has been doing this for decades.
I take purchases home, give them a whirl on my ancient spin clean and no problem.
A generational thing, my parents did it(WWII set)my older brothers as well.
On paper yeah, that stuff is a no-no, but some say f&@# it!...what's the big deal?
