Though I like your mathematics! If he wants to quickly and easily divest himself of all of those classical LPs, he should require that they all be sold in one lot. If there are some valuable ones there, as there should be for a good 1000 LP collection in excellent condition that has never been cherry picked, someone would most likely buy them all.

Otherwise, he could easily be left with 800 LPs that he'll have to dispose of himself, and probably about the same money, or less. People just don't want classical LPs. I've been to sales like this.
