Well, if he wants to sell the whole collection, he's making a very big mistake. The first collector who gets there and knows anything will take the 10-15 valuable ones for $30 or less, which would fetch around $200-$300 on ebay. The rest will be worthless as collectables, and alas, there aren't too many people like me buying up $1 classical records.
A dealer would probably give him $200 to take the whole thing away if he has a choice collection kept in excellent condition. Once someone has cherry-picked the valuable ones, the dealer won't take it.
