I have a major footfall issue where I live. It's in a second floor loft

over my nephew's detached 2-car garage. The problem is not that the floor is wood, but that it's suspended above an open garage below. There is but one floor post to support the floor in the approximate center of the garage. I tried a few suspended subchasis tables, but finally gave up. When I had my vintage Thorens TD-150 MKI restored, I had Steve Clarke at the Analog Department remove the spring suspension and replace it with what is pictured. This makes for a much stabler platform and Steve noted he preferred the sound from this setup.
