Listening room update ......

Just about finished phase 1 of my house remodel and thought I would share what changes I made to my listening room. First thing I did was have the downstairs floors sanded and stained which included my listening room. While the room is a bit smallish I do think my Maggies sound very good there. My system also shared space with an old Sony CRT HD TV which took up the middle space where my system rack now sits. I gave the set away and entered the 21st century by replacing it with a flat screen which I mounted on the wall. The stereo rack is also new which I custom ordered from Timbernation. It consists of 4 3" thick tiger maple boards with cherry supports. Love it!
My listening chair is "new" in that I finally was able to bring it downstairs from my bedroom where it inhabited the last 10 years. This chair was a Goodwill find that I fell in love with but at the time I didn't have room to bring downstairs. It could use a recover but I like its old look. I also repainted the walls. One more thing I need to do is buy a nice 4'x6' area rug.
I will be moving the stereo rack back a bit further when I replace the the cold air return grate on the floor with a repurposed metal street grate which I am have sandblasted and painted.
