Haitink was basically for the Faun Prelude/Noct's and considering the Lp's can be had for pennies, why not?

The Haitink Jeux is on Salvatore's list as one of the best-sounding Lp's he's ever heard. As a performance, it works for me.

I know Boulez's Columbia-recorded Debussy but the strings tend to get pretty harsh during the climaxes, unfortunately.

I'm not familiar with his final recordings on CD with DGG.
