I have a few of those - the Quartetto Italiano string quartet, the Answermet Pelleas (which I have yet to hear) and the Toscanini La Mer.
So I'm not sure how Ansermet is missing from the list, since there are several mentions....but no Boulez? I'm not normally a Boulez fan but I think his Debussy is pretty good.
I attended a performance of St. Sebastian a few years ago....with MTT, not sure I was in the right mood for the work.
So Gieseking is my latest enthusiasm - just picked up (actually Bruckner9 did on my behalf) a set of all of the Beethoven sonatas he recorded - wood cover, very cool. Can't wait to clean and play it. Love his Ravel too - have you heard his Debussy?
Let's see, Tchaikovsky, then Debussy.......Stravinsky next?
