Technics SL D3 vs. SL 1900

I am a long-time user of Technics fully manual tables, but am now considering adding an auto table just for convenience.

Both the D3 and 1900 are fully auto tables. Which would you choose, and why? Any significant differences between the two, or are they more or less equivalent?

I know there are other possibly higher grade auto tables in the Technics lineup, but I have the opportunity to consider just these two models.
