....and some of the 'budget-label junk' are actually reissues of important overseas performances that were not on major labels. For example, you can get the Vox Cum Laude of the Fedoseyev performance that originally appeared on Melodiya. It is a most interesting performance, with savage intensity in places, almost the polar opposite of the lyrical Beecham.
