RE: No, just once. I believe the CD/SACD versions include Song of the Nightingale. That said--

I agree completely about Ansermet's Song of the Nightingale. One of the best examples of this work and Anserment's work on record that I've heard. And I like his Scheherazade with the PCO very much too. But here again, the underrated but best version on vinyl for my money is Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra, circa 1963.
Alas, in his final years recording for RCA, Ormandy made some uninspired records, whether because of his advanced age or RCA's incompetence, and that seems to have sealed his reputation among record collectors.
If you have the original RCA Reiner version, there are very good notes by Richard Mohr on the back. Too bad if Chesky couldn't reproduce them.
