If you're sittin' on the fence?

I wish I were better at giving a verbal description of recorded sound but I won't let that lack of talent stop me. Over the past two weeks I have purchased Music Matters 33&1/3 reissues of John Coltrane's Blue Train & Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers Blue Note 4003, these are among the best recordings I have ever owned. The Coltrane is the best mono I have ever heard. This is high fidelity not hifi. There is a you are there naturalness that is seldom encountered on a recording. Art Blakey's drum solos explode but never overwhelm. The timbre of the instruments seems to be right on the spot. The vinyl is dead quiet with no tics or pops and as an added bonus the packaging is superb.

I will definitely be picking up several more in this series. If you love any of these recording don't hesitate to pull the trigger. Music Matters has given music lovers and audiophiles the gift of music.
