The reason being that the Yaqin uses active equalization. In other words, the tubes are part of the equalization circuit. And the circuit in the Yaqin was designed around the 12AX7. The 5751s might not change the EQ, but then again, they might.

Just a thought. I liked NOS Mullard 12AX7s in the Yaqin MS-22B I had for a relatively short time. I consider it the best budget phono preamp around.
