a signed and sealed "The Arrival of Victor Feldman". Contemporary, Stereo 1958 was in itself a rare record and this one had a circle cut from the lower left corner shrink wrap with a message to someone.
Research led me to believe that it was given to the sister of Scott La Faro after he was killed in an auto accident. I had no way to prove what i thought so to the shelf it went.
About a month ago I was able to talk to someone,Madelene at the International Bassist Society, who knew both of the families. She got me in contact with Scotts sister Helene and I was able the return the record to them. It seemed the record was removed in a divorce case of her younger sister some years ago.
I bought the record for 25 cents at the Hemet Salvation Army store. How it got there unopened is beyond me.
