Yet another Beatles post - early reaction and a question

Just cleaned my new mono box and spinning "Please Please Me"....first reaction is that the mono box sounds analog, while the stereo set sounds sounds like it is digital - way more depth and "roundness" to the sound. We'll see if that reaction continues as I work my way through the set.

But....why does that mono box not contain "Let It Be" and "Abbey Road" - yes I know that the primary mix on those was stereo, which is not true for the recordings in the mono box....but what a shame that we don't have LPs sourced from the analog originals. Fortunately for me I have the Japanese Let It Be Naked LP (which I way prefer to the Spectorized Let it Be) and my original Abbey Road.

Maybe, as there was with the CD remasterings, there will be a "US" stereo box and they will go back to the original tapes for those. I personally prefer the songs and order on the US "Rubber Soul" to the UK original - nothing like starting with "I've Just Seen A Face" and moving to "Norwegian Wood".

Now if we could only get a Dave Clark 5 box with this level of detail.....
