FWIW, I had one of the early VPI TNT tables (Mk II) with SDS and it had the three belts which I kept talcuumed and boiled -- not at the same time :-) -- per VPI recommendations at the time. Later TNTs reverted to a single belt, as I recall, and I thought the Mk II was the last to use them.

Unfortunately it was easily outperformed by the first of my two modified Lencos (Idler drive) and then sold after I got the second Lenco which was still better. That TNT was a looker, but it never sounded all that great, to me at least, 3 belts or no.
