The new Hagerman Cornet3 uses a regulated wall-wart driving a boost converter (running at about 50kHz) to generate the high voltage rail required for proper tube biasing. I don't know whether you could power it from a battery, but it qualifies as a tube phono stage with an outboard power supply.
