Yes the ATN150MLX does sound fantastic! I measure a very similar freq. response characteristic to my AT440ML for the same loading, but the overall presentation is more palpable.
As to the sound of the AT100E with the supplied ATN100 stylus, the low frequency tracking is OK at the recommended nominal VTF (>70um), but there is a lot of sibilance due to the SRA error and the sound on non-vocal recordings is somewhat coarse.
BTW I hope my previous post about the overhang wasn't confusing.. Unless you've already seen the AT heashell, they have pre-tapped screw holes at fixed positions - the front screw holes are still not forward enough to give the correct overhang on the SL1200 unless you add shims to the plug. When I bought it, I thought all universal tonearms had the same 52mm configuration and was looking forward to having a plug and play setup. The MG100 heashell is also much heavier than the normal designs.
