...after reading other Inmates' overwhelmingly positive impressions (of the new mono reissues) in a previous thread right here in the Vinyl Aslyum earlier today, I went down to my local record shop and picked it up tonight. (Big "Shout Out" to Schoolkids Records here in Raleigh, NC- plus they gave me a free "The Beatles Mono" t-shirt for purchasing the record!).

Believe it: if this particular record is any indication, these mono vinyl reissues ARE that damn good (and one doesn't need a mono cart to realize this)!!! Vinyl is quiet, sonics are spectacular; mono presentation has it all over stereo version(s). It is indeed the best I've ever heard this record(ing) presented.*

(*Note: Have yet to compare it directly against the mono CD reissue that I have as part of that box set)
