Anyone try recent new production tubes in an AAV1 ?

I know it may be sacrilegious but has anyone tried any of the more recent new production tubes in an Art Audio Vinyl One phono amp? I'm getting ever-increasingly tired of the ever-increasing cost of NOS tubes and am wondering how the more recent, but below EAT cost levels, new production tubes sound in an AAV1.

Anyone compare the Genelex, the Tung-Sol and Mullard reissues, etc. for the three 12Ax7 tubes? I've not been a big fan of the EH tubes in anything I've owned but they've been improving as they burn-in in my Cary SLI-80 sig.

There is, or at least was, several of us with AAV1 phono stages here on the Asylum so I thought I'd check before I open my checkbook for another set of NOS tubes.
