His Peter and the Wolf is one of the most famous versions. But his name is spelled (and pronounced) Ritchard. I once heard him interviewed, and apparently he was very prickly about people who didn't pronounce the "t", stopping to correct the interviewer and even making him practice it a couple of times.
One of the greatest children's records I've ever heard features Mother Goose rhymes recited or sung by Ritchard, Boris Karloff and Celeste Holm, in some cases set to music by Ulysses Kay.
